Ezekiel 36:26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Wounds are excruciatingly painful, unsettling, annoying, and unappealing to the eyes. We always want to hide wounds, but there comes a point when the doctor tells you what you want to hear but also don't want to hear: "it's time to permanently remove the cast and allow in some fresh air." At that point, the wound is dependent on our actions and necessitates our attention. It's also moment to mentally prepare for reactions like "what is that!" or a facial expression that says "that's terrible looking."
Wounds heal faster when exposed.
Are there any wounds in your heart that you haven't been able to address? Is there anything further that needs to be done to the wounds? Who hurt you? What circumstance resulted in the rage in your heart? We must recognize, especially as women, that we have a tendency to carry hurt in our hearts for years! We are emotionally tied to what we love and value, which is why we must forgive completely!
The First Step is to forgive since it is an instruction from God, so that we might be forgiven and our sacrifice will be acceptable to God.
Instruction from God:
Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.
When large numbers are mentioned in the Bible, they usually indicate a lot! In this scripture, it means countless. We must forgive over and over again!
Forgive so you will be forgiven:
Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Forgive so that your sacrfice is accepatble to God:
Matthew 5:23-24 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
The Second Step is to Commit the hurt to God
Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.
Last Step: Guard Your Heart!
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Guard: To protect from danger; to secure against surprise, attack, or injury; to keep in safety; to defend; to shelter; to shield from surprise or attack; to protect by attendance; to accompany for protection; to care for; To keep watch over
After going through the process of forgiving and committing the suffering to God, we must protect our heart in order to prevent and destroy all avenues that could cause you to suffer painful wounds. That implies we must choose our companions properly, be cautious about who we listen to, and ensure we know our identity in Christ!
The majority of women are usually wounded by emotional abuse. Negative remarks and impressions, gossip, and social media...
See why God forbids us from gossiping. It causes a slew of issues.
Are you willing to treat those wounds today? Because God is ready to soften your heart and pour love into those painful sores. Allow Him to Enter Your Heart!!!!
God loves you!! Love y’al!!!
